Here at Emma Hassall Costume and Clothing, I can make garments to suit your vision, budget and occasion. I can make any type of garment to your measurements and specifications for any occasion, be it for a Wedding, special event or something for everyday.
Bespoke Process
Consultation
The first step in any bespoke commission is to set up a consultation to discuss your design ideas, overall vision and budget. This can be completed via email, video call, telephone or in person at my home studio or somewhere convenient for you, depending on your locality. We will discuss design details, fabrics and colour schemes. Inspiration pictures are helpful to give me an idea of what you're looking for.
Resourcing
Next, I will assess your project, reviewing the design details and provide a comprehensive estimate of costs and projected production timeline. I will source fabric samples for you to look at and touch and, when you are happy with everything, extensive measurements and a deposit will be taken.
Drafting
With fine attention to detail, I will create a custom pattern tailored to your unique design and measurements. If necessary, and time permits, a toile/garment mock-up can be made so all details and fit can be finalised before moving on to the final creation.
Fittings
Fittings are a vital part of the process to ensure perfect fit and finish. Following the fitting sessions (you may need more than one), the garments are skilfully finished, any final adjustments made, and are then ready for collection.
